That's right, we're putting nuts on pizza. But hey, it's got mortadella mountains which already have pistachios so we figured, why not add some more for a level of crunch. This pizza was actually incredible and we'd love to see where you take this one.

Ingredients:
For the Pizza Dough:
- We used the recipe from "pizza salad wine" cookbook (or use your favorite homemade dough)
For the Mortadella Pizza:
- White onion, sliced
- Mozzarella cheese, cubed
- Mortadella, thinly sliced
- Pistachios, shelled and roughly chopped
- Graza Olive oil
- Hot honey
Recipe:
Step 1: Prep the Pizza Dough
- Prepare the pizza dough according to the instructions from the "pizza salad wine" cookbook. Allow it to rise and reach its full, flavorful potential.
Step 2: Caramelize the onion
- Place bacon grease into a cast iron along with sliced onion and cook until soft and well...caramelized
- Add more butter if you're like us and your an absolute animal
Step 3: Shape the Dough
- Press down on the pizza dough on a floured surface, forming the crust around the side and then pressing down in the middle of the dough
Step 4: Assemble the Pizza
- We were using a Gozney Dome so we were rocking about 900 degrees (Or preheat your oven to the recommended temperature from the cookbook you took the dough recipe from
- Place shaped dough on a pizza peel
- Sprinkle a generous amount of cubed mozzarella over the dough
- Arrange thin slices of mortadella into mountain on top of the cheese
- Drizzle Graza olive oil over the pizza, enhancing the flavors as it bakes
- Sprinkle chopped pistachios for an added crunch
- Add caramelized onion to the pizza
Step 5: Bake to Perfection
- Follow the recommended baking time and temperature from the cookbook until the crust is lepparding and the cheese is bubbling.
Step 6: Finishing Touches
- Once out of the oven, generously drizzle hot honey over the Mortadella Pizza
- Slice, serve, and savor
